Tyler Seguin Does Twitter Wrong

Aspiring athletes can take note of what is going on with hockey star Tyler Seguin this month. Last week, Seguin was traded from the Boston Bruins to the Dallas Stars, is under contract to make $4.5 million dollars this year.

On Saturday night, amid news that Seguin had been traded, he tweeted the following:

Maybe he tweeted it. He claims that his account was hacked.

In any case, the fine folks in the Dallas media community aren’t buying it. It doesn’t help that only a couple of months ago he used the term “no homo” in a Twitter exchange, an indiscretion that helped land Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbard a $75,000 fine last month.

Whether your child is an aspiring athlete or not, it’s never too early to start educating as to what is acceptable behavior and what isn’t.
